Fast Heart Rate From Diet Pills

College food wasn’t kind to me. The lifestyle wasn’t either. Getting up early, going bed late, eating junk food, little exercise, and the vast array of fatty and sweet goodies at the campus cafeteria didn’t help. I put on weight over those years and by the time it was all over I realized I needed to do something about it. After all, I was embarrassed and I was tired of getting comments from my Grandma, cousins, “friends”, and even my brother about the weight I had gained.

To combat the weight I gained I looked for something that would help me lose weight faster because I didn’t want it to be a slow and painful process. I wanted the fat gone ASAP. So, I bought a weight loss supplement called Xenadrine.

My Xenadrine Experience Begins

Prior to taking Xenadrine I had started to eat a healthier, lower calorie diet, and had begun an exercise program.

Since I longed to drop the excess weight fast, I thought that by taking Xenadrine I could get the fat off faster by combining it with diet and exercise. Upon taking it I couldn’t believe how much energy I had. My workout intensity went of the charts!

However, at night I could feel a crash from the Xenadrine starting to wear off. It was really hard to not eat sugary foods – much harder than usual. I craved sugary foods like a slug craving moisture in the desert.

During these early days of taking it, I loved how much energy it gave me during my workouts. I felt unstoppable. I could workout harder and longer without a doubt. However, once the workouts were done, I felt like I couldn’t relax.

Impending Doom Around Every Corner

Oh my goodness. After taking the pills for a couple of days my heart feels like there’s a crazy drummer inside of it that just won’t quit. Even while I’m in my bed, my heart is freaking out. “Is it possible for a heart to explode?” is a question I wonder to myself while I attempt to fall asleep – which I soon found out was more difficult.

Side effects began popping up all over the place. As soon as I would stand up I would feel dizzy and my eyes would black out. A feeling of lightheadedness was with me throughout the day and especially while working out.

I couldn’t focus either, so my work quality suffered. I was scared to death of loud noises, and I felt like impending doom was waiting for me around every corner. Sounds ridiculous, but I was constantly on edge.

I also began to feel nauseated, and I had a light headache. These side-effects I was experiencing were nothing compared to the terrible anxiety I was feeling. I was on the edge of my seat all hours of the day. Also, the people around me were on the edge of their seats all day as well, as I was extremely irritable. Little things would get me worked up. I was quite unpleasant during this time.

It only took a week for me to stop taking Xenadrine. I had hit a wall with it and it had gotten to the point where I absolutely could not function effectively in my workouts and in my life. I had to stop taking it.

At the end of this fiasco, I was ready to never take another diet pill again. I realized that even though I lost somewhere around 2 lbs during that week, I knew there were much healthier ways to lose 2 lbs in a week. I would much rather stick to a sustainable weight loss plan then to ever try something like Xenadrine again.
